Position Description

Counsyl is looking for an associate director, digital marketing to drive digital marketing strategies, insights and programs for the company. We’re in search of someone who is a expert and thought leader who thrives in a dynamic environment to partner with some of the best and brightest in the industry. This position will report to the head of marketing communications and public relations.

What You'll Do

  • Conceptualize, direct and execute social, influencer and digital marketing programs, aligning to corporate and marketing strategies and utilizing a metrics-driven approach to drive results
  • Drive digital lead generation and drip, nurture campaigns for the company using Counsyl’s marketing automation and customer relationship management systems 
  • Deliver, scale and optimize marketing qualified leads for Counsyl’s sales team
  • Drive strategy for Counsyl’s owned, paid and earned digital and social marketing ecosystem
  • Ensure business strategy is defined and optimized
  • Ensure a consistent brand voice across the ecosystem
  • Deliver interactive and engaging multi-channel content to drive brand awareness and lead generation
  • Track return on digital marketing investment
  • Drive redesign projects and ongoing improvements for the company’s corporate website
  • Track core metrics/analytics for tracking digital marketing communications activities and provide monthly/quarterly report to key stakeholders
  • Lead company video strategy, including identifying core video needs, matching needs with the right video vendors and ensuring company video is up-to-date
  • Manage day-to-day updates to counsyl.com and other Counsyl-hosted microsites, the company’s blog and paid/organic email marketing
  • Evaluate and improve Counsyl’s SEO/SEM strategy and implementation, including retargeting and insight-driven SEM campaign optimization
  • Deliver the companies social marketing strategy, including end-to-end campaigns. Ensure proper utilization of social listening, analytics, campaign tracking
  • Partner with social media community managers within Counsyl (People team, marketing) to strengthen our social media presence, defining and driving our follower and audience engagement/digital influencer programs; continue to evolve the cadence and quality of interactive social media posts
  • Manage the company’s digital conference strategy, including real-time digital marketing campaigns, surveys and other content, tablet content for use by sales representatives, in-booth interactive media, such as demos, and in-booth digital marketing content, such as videos
  • Manage website domains, partnering with IT and finance to renew and proactively purchase marketing driven domains
  • Analyze metrics for key insights and provide regular dashboards to internal stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of companywide and campaign specific initiatives 
  • Evaluate, implement and manage core digital marketing tools, including email marketing, lead generation, marketing automation, web and social content publishing, social listening, campaign monitoring and measurement
  • Drive internal alignment for digital marketing programs and serve as an internal thought leader for other teams to build internal capabilities to deliver high impact social and digital marketing programs across social channels

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years digital/multichannel marketing experience
  • Experience in healthcare, women’s health, genetics, diagnostics is a plus (at agencies and/or within companies)
  • Proven track record of directing and executing highly innovative digital and social media strategies
  • Strong leader and able to provide clear creative direction
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce and delivering demand generation, drip/nurture campaigns and gated content using Pardot/Marketo or similar systems
  • Extensive experience with social listening, social analytics and social campaign tracking and optimization
  • Record of delivering exceptional results
  • Extensive knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, tools, and techniques for measuring impact and return on investment
  • Extensive experience with multi-channel digital marketing campaigns
  • Vendor/agency management experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and extensive experience with insight-driven campaign optimization
  • Experience measuring return on digital marketing investment
  • Experience with content management systems, including WordPress and other CMS hosted solutions
  • Understanding of the industry compliance landscape
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize effectively
  • Thrives working in a fast paced environment
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
