Counsyl is looking for a dynamic Facilities Manager to add to our incredible team. We are a rapidly growing organization and are looking for an “on-the-ground” quarterback who will work with everyone in the company to implement and maintain a safe, healthy and fun work environment.

What you'll do:

  • Manage overall HQ facilities and systems (3 buildings with office space, production and R&D laboratories)
  • Provide employees with their facility related needs, ensuring their productivity is optimally maintained.
  • Consulting with executives and skillfully communicating directives, priorities and negotiating effective outcomes.
  • Responsible for long term space planning by being proactive on space allocations to meet departmental growth
  • Manage a high level of performance in all areas of office services, including reception, food and beverage, safety & security, and operations/maintenance
  • Oversee facilities work requests, including construction, ensuring timely responses and regular reporting
  • Address building emergencies such as plumbing, air conditioning, building health, etc.
  • Act as primary interface with property management and ensure lease compliance
  • Manage all vendor relationships, ensuring work is being performed to scopeNegotiate contracts and issue RFPs as needed for future services
  • Develop budgets related to all areas of office services and track to them
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules for all building equipment, including facilities related equipment in labs
  • Assist in creating corporate safety programs including emergency response and evacuation planning, etc.
  • Manage building security program and be first point of contact for emergencies
  • Assist with future build-outs and/or office upgrades

About you:

  • 10+ years of direct FM experience; at least 5+ years of experience in managing lab facilities in a biotech or pharma environment
  • FMP or CFM preferred
  • Ability to lead with the customer in mind at all times
  • Demonstrated experience managing general and lab construction​
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding project management and communication skills, with ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience using facilities ticket management tools
