Position Description

A member of the Commercial Operations team, the Interface Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining and refining EMR (Electronic Medical Records) integrations with clinical customers.  This involves configuration of HL7 and API-based interfaces, and of the platform and pipeline that supports them.   We use a proprietary python-based framework for ingesting and generating HL7, and the Interface Engineer will leverage that to support HL7 customizations and new clinical workflows.  We manage our interfacing through javascript-based third-party middleware (Mirth), and the Interface Engineer will help support and extend this platform.   The Interface Engineer works closely with Interface Specialists and Project Managers, who coordinate our integration work, as well other Interface Engineers.  They will also collaborate with the Engineering and Program Management teams on architecture and infrastructure design projects related to our EMR platform.

We see EMR as an opportunity to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve patient and provider experience.  EMR currently supports a substantial proportion of business, and we’re looking for candidates who are excited to find ways to take it even further.
