Position Description

The Inventory Control team ensures inventory accuracy of materials for our production line. The Inventory Control Specialist will safeguard handling, storage, and supply infrastructure of our production inventory which supports our CLIA Lab.

What You'll Do

  • Receive, breakdown packaging and restock inventory from daily shipments
  • Performs physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports
  • Records purchase receipts and maintains ERP database
  • Generate reports of weekly inbound shipments
  • Investigates shipping discrepancies with courier and/or procurement team
  • Maintains organized and scalable warehouse space
  • Ensures proper storage, transfer and lot control of inventory items
  • Develops and execute supply management strategies and contingency plans
  • Identifies improvements to streamline processes and workflow
  • Performs year end inventory count with external auditors

About You

  • High school diploma or GED required and at least 1 year of inventory or production control, and/or warehouse experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 4-6 hours
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to self direct in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of Google Apps (including Google Spreadsheet / Excel) and Mac OS X
  • Comfortable utilizing new software
  • Have a “can do” attitude and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
