Position description

As the Business Partner to the Engineering, Science and Operations teams, you will be a core member of the company’s People Operations department. Key to success in this role will be supporting a team of managers in all aspects of employee onboarding, development, performance management and retention. In addition, you will work closely with other People Ops team members to create, roll out and manage company-wide initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Partner with executive leadership and department managers to drive people-related projects and initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of People Ops contact for the Engineering, Science and Operations teams
  • Provide all people-related support and contribute to People Ops projects and key initiatives
  • Utilize superb project management, facilitation, and communication expertise to deliver relevant, effective HR solutions and produce results
  • Act as a trusted resource to managers and employees on a wide variety of topics and guide employees to people, tools, and resources
  • Guide, train, and direct employees on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.) and compliance
  • Participate in culture groups and provide guidance and support to a growing team of engineers and scientists

About you

  • At least 3-5 years of experience handling a full range of people issues and program implementation within a high-growth company
  • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, relationship building, consulting and teamwork
  • Ability to interact with people on all levels and to manage tough conversations
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals
  • Willingness and excitement about “getting hands dirty” with regards to day to day HR functions (employee relations, performance management, facilitation, coaching, HR administrative tasks and responding to inquiries)
  • Natural tendency towards discretion
  • Desire to make a sizeable and measurable impact in a company
  • Desire to learn and grow into a larger role
