Counsyl’s mission is to democratize access to genetic information to inform better health decisions.  We are at a critical stage of business growth and we need your Talent Acquisition leadership to propel us to the next stage. In addition to leading a team and meeting hiring plan objectives, you’ll lead core initiatives around Employment Brand and Candidate Value Proposition, Diversity & Inclusion, University Relations, Employee Experience, and Best Place To Work.

As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, expect to be called upon as a thought leader to collaborate with the Executive Committee to solve the most challenging of problems and harvest opportunities.

What You'll Do: The Basics

  • Lead internal and external talent resources to enable our recruitment strategy
  • Develop and present recruiting strategies and tactics to the executive team and BOD aligned with business strategy
  • Own workforce planning; create impactful data to support your case
  • Develop and deliver metrics to measure performance and influence strategy development
  • Ensure the best candidate experience in the industry

What You'll Do: Strategic Talent Development

  • Work in tandem with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to influence talent strategy for each department at Counsyl
  • Provide direction to the executive and senior-level managers on emerging recruiting trends
  • Work cross functionally to develop and enhance a powerful employment brand
  • Help make managers better at hiring through coaching and training
  • Drive continued improvement to the New Hire Experience and continued talent development

About You

  • 10+ years of recruiting experience, with 6+ years of experience leading talent acquisition teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree in related discipline (MBA or equivalent) a plus
  • Significant workforce planning and hiring plan development experience
  • Experience recruiting for both high tech and life sciences companies in both pre-IPO and post-IPO environments
  • Demonstrated experience building local and remote recruiting teams while facilitating professional growth and developing careers of those you lead
  • Strong experience building programs (Diversity & Inclusion, University Relations, etc.).
  • An expert influencer who can drive change using data and analytics
  • Strong examples of building processes to both improve customer experience but also operational efficiency
