Position description

Counsyl is hiring a Stock / Payroll Administrator to manage the company's equity program. This includes processing all employee and non employee stock transactions, supporting audit and reporting needs, and acting as a point of contact for all equity related questions. This role will also support the Payroll Manager in the day-to-day administration and processing of payroll. This role will work closely with the Human Resources, Legal and Finance departments.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
  • 3-5 years experience of corporate accounting in payroll or stock administration
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high attention to details. Able to stay flexible and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Work independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives
  • Analytical skillset with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with stock administration is required
  • Experience with payroll processing and ADP is preferred

What you'll do

  • Process and reconcile payroll in multiple states
  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, and Finance to ensure coordination of information across departments.
  • Review and analyze current payroll, benefits, and taxes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Take ownership of all regulatory aspects of equity administration, understand equity administration marketplace trends, and possess knowledge of industry best practices
  • Manage all participant equity plan transactions (grants, exercises, tax withholding, releases, etc.) and ensure they are correctly processed in a timely manner
  • Maintain data (e.g., new hires, terminations, etc.) in the equity system
  • Interface with all levels of the organization and outside consultants to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide information related to payroll and stock plan services, enrollment and transactions
  • Participate in the monthly close process, including posting entries and performing reconciliations of payroll and equity information
  • Assist efforts to streamline the stock administration function, including improving and introducing additional best practices with effective controls, and automate routine work streams
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors, monitor enhancements and changes to service levels as needed
  • Perform ad hoc services as needed
