Dr. Eric Evans has been with Counsyl since its inception. He joined the founding team to blend his scientific research and knowledge with real-world patient and doctor experiences. Eric is an established expert in next-generation gene sequencing, molecular diagnostics, high-throughput clinical laboratory management and Mendelian genetics. His research has been published in scientific journals including Aging Cell, Reproductive Biology & Endocrinology, PLoS Pathogens, and Genetics in Medicine.
At Counsyl he oversees the clinical laboratory, research, development, and product management. Eric is a certified High-Complexity Laboratory Director and Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist.
Eric holds a Ph.D. in genetics from Stanford University. He was the recipient of a National Science Foundation Reserach Fellowship as well as a Stanford Graduate Fellowship.
Counsyl has renamed its products effective July 19, 2017. The Family Prep Screen is now the Foresight Carrier Screen. The Informed Pregnancy Screen is now the Prelude Prenatal Screen. The Inherited Cancer Screen is now the Reliant Cancer Screen.
